Frequently asked questions

Data Security

Is my personal data kept in a secure environment?

Absolutely. Learner data is never moved outside of a secured environment for testing or any other reason.

All information is stored on Google Cloud Platform servers as a third-party cloud storage subcontractor and learner data is not hosted on our premises.

This means that all servers hosting your data are located at Google premises, in different world-class data centers around the world:

● West USA (California)
● Central USA (Iowa)
● East USA (South Carolina, Virginia)
● South America (Brazil/Sao Paolo)
● Central EU (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany)
● Southeast Asia (Singapore)

Google Cloud Platform is a leading cloud provider, and holds industry best security certifications, such as SOC2/3 and ISO27001, and provides encryption in transit and at rest, without any action required from our clients. All servers are protected by biometric locks and round-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance monitoring. Only authorised personnel have access to the data centre. 24/7/365 onsite staff provides additional protection against unauthorised entry and security breaches.

What about my password, how safe is that?

Very safe. All learner passwords are salted and hashed and never stored or transmitted as plain text.  If you forget your password it cannot be retrieved, even by our own CEO – the password must be reset by you.

Are my credit card details safe?

We do not store credit card details on our infrastructure. All credit card transactions are
processed using secure encryption on a PCI-Compliant network.

What if my computer gets hacked or compromised?

We do everything we can to secure our systems, but if your computer gets compromised or someone gets into your account, that’s not good for either of us. Therefore,

● We monitor and will automatically suspend accounts for signs of irregular or suspicious login activity.
● Certain changes to your account, such as to your password, will trigger email notifications to our team.
● We monitor accounts and site activity for signs of abuse (both via automatic notifications and human reviewers).

I have found a security issue, what can I do?

We work continuously to make all systems used by our learners secure but modern software is amongst the most complex artifacts ever created by humans and cybersecurity is a moving target.

If you do find any security issues, whether you are a learner or security expert, please reach out to us at security@talisium.com.
