What will I learn?

  2. State what the different types of photon interactions within the body are and what property of the x-rays/gamma rays they depend on
  3. Describe the photoelectric effect and compton effect and why these effects are useful in medical imaging and treatment
  4. State why alpha and beta radiations are not commonly used for diagnosis or treatment
