Tony Brennan

Founder & CEO

Following seven years in the Australian army including time with the Parachute Surgical Team where he trained in severe trauma medicine and aviation medicine Tony completed a law degree at the University of Queensland before spending time with one of Australia’s largest law firms practicing in the areas of corporate finance, corporate advisory and M&A. As an academic, Tony was Australia’s youngest Adjunct Law Professor and has taught law and foreign direct investment across Australia and Asia. Tony has worked in corporate advisory across Asia, the Middle East and South America and more recently was the CEO for a medical and health services company where he developed training and medical projects in Afghanistan, the Middle East, USA, Africa and Haiti. Tony is the Founder and CEO of Talisium.

Ren is an experienced tech executive and currently VP Growth Labs at Paypal.  Ren’s previous roles include Senior Director, Global Marketing at Twitter and Director of Marketing for Asia-Pacific (excl. India) at Uber Technologies Inc

Prior to Uber, Ren spent almost 10 years in senior positions with Google in Europe and Asia where he was responsible for accelerating small and medium business customer acquisitions before leading Google’s advertising product marketing strategy for Europe, Middle-East, and Africa.  He also led consumer and monetisation marketing across Southeast Asia including must-win, high-growth ‘’next Billion users’’ markets, with particular focus on Google Search and YouTube

Ian graduated from Cambridge University in 1988 before moving to Hong Kong where he lived and worked for 24 years before returning to Perth in 2015. Ian’s career has focussed on strategy, branding, marketing and communications. He played a senior leadership role in advertising agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA, most recently as Executive Vice President TBWA/Asia Pacific and Group President TBWA Greater China. Ian has advised global brands and companies including GE Healthcare, Pfizer, Wyeth, GSK, McDonalds, Apple, Sony, BMW on their strategies for branding and marketing. Ian was at the forefront of the digital transformation of the communications industry and is regarded as a leading expert in technology, particularly its application to education and training. Ian is a non-executive director of Talisium and heads up our global strategy, marketing and brand.

Lee is an experienced tech executive and is currently the General Manager for TikTok in Australia.

Lee is also a 10-year Google veteran, where he was most recently the Head of Marketing Strategy & Innovation across Asia Pacific. He was responsible for delivering new, innovative marketing and product development to Google’s users, and helping redefine what’s possible using the power of the web. Prior to this, Lee ran Brand and Creative Marketing for YouTube globally, launching some of their biggest initiatives, and working with the world’s top talent and brands.

Lee has extensive experience in developing global online education initiatives, creating the Google Online Marketing Challenge – a tertiary academic competition that has seen over 110,000 students and professors from almost 100 countries participating in the past 9 years. He’s also created YouTube Space Lab in partnership with NASA, inspiring millions of students about the potential of STEM education, culminating on the winning experiments being sent to the International Space Station, and streamed live on YouTube to classrooms all over the world. Lee is a non-executive director of Talisium.

Liesl has spent the last 25 years working in government, the private sector and multi-lateral organisations with 10 years working overseas. In addition to her extensive career in government, Liesl was a partner in Rann Strategy Group, where she and the Hon. Mike Rann, former South Australian Premier, provided government relations advice and political insight to major Australian corporations with a focus on the UK, Italy and Australia. Prior to this, Liesl was a management consultant at EY working with federal and state government agencies to implement and advise on major change agendas.
Liesl has also spent many years in India where she led the design and delivery phases of a regional governance program for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Working with government and non government organisations across south and southeast Asia, Liesl designed and implemented a range of regional projects to support the UN’s objectives to decrease the spread of HIV/AIDS in the region by building the capacity of NGOs and government organisations.

Dr. Brightwell was Coordinator of Postgraduate Medicine at Edith Cowan University, Perth, where he developed the undergraduate Paramedical Science Degree. Richard is a Fellow of Paramedics Australasia and has served on the PA Board 2007 – 2015. Richard is passionate about the role of paramedics in health care and was Vice President of Paramedics Australasia and Chair of the Australasian College of Paramedicine. Richard is also the Chairman of the Talisium Health Advisory Board.

Professor Bittles has published over 200 research papers and book chapters and has been a Visiting Senior Fellow at Cambridge University, Duke University, LaTrobe University, University of Michigan, Peking University, Stanford University, Umeå and Washington universities. In 2006 he was the World Health Organisation Adviser on Medical Genetic Services in Developing Countries and from 2007-2010 he was an invited Member of Expert Groups contributing to the Global Burden of Disease Study. In 2011, Alan was an Expert Member of the World Health Organisation panel on Grand Challenges in Genomics for Public Health in Developing Countries. Alan is a member of the Talisium Health Advisory Board.

Professor Wang is Professor of postgraduate medicine at Edith Cowan University and Adjunct Professor/Director of the Beijing Municipal Key Laboratory of Clinical Epidemiology. Wei’s other appointments have included Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Zurich University, Switzerland; Merit Scientists-100 Program, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Adjunct Professor at the Croatian Centre for Global Health; Adjunct Professor in the Global Health Program at North Western University, USA; Fellow in the Faculty of Public Health for the Royal College of Physicians, UK and Visiting Professor as the University of Edinburgh, UK. Wei sits on a medical degree reform committee that was established by China’s central government to advise on how to replace the current structure of medical degrees with a system that would equal Western medical education. Associate Professor Ray Bange is an executive member of the Australian Health Care Reform Alliance; an Honorary Fellow of both the Australian and New Zealand College of Paramedicine and Paramedics Australasia; a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia.  He holds Adjunct Associate Professorial appointments at the University of the Sunshine Coast and the Central Queensland University. Ray has undertaken extensive research into community healthcare policy and the management and operation of Paramedic (aka Ambulance) Services. He has an in-depth knowledge of paramedic services, the accreditation of educational programs and the regulation of health practitioners; and played a significant role in achieving the national registration of paramedics in Australia. His expertise has been recognised by engagement in international reference committees for research into pre-hospital emergency care regulation and governance conducted by Swansea University. Peter is a Fellow of Paramedics Australasia and Australian and New Zealand College of Paramedics and a member of International Roundtable on Community Paramedicine, World Association of Emergency Medicine, Paramedic Service Chiefs of Canada and National Association of EMS Educators. Peter is a member of the Talisium Health Advisory Board.
